If you exercise or take zumba classes regularly then you know it is important to drink an adequate amount of water daily. The general rule is to drink eight glasses a day. Water is important for keeping the body hydrated especially during exercise. It flushes out toxins and carries nutrients to the cells. It keeps the skin looking youthful and naturally increases energy levels. There is also a study that says that drinking water is an effective weight-loss aid. Drinking water before each meal helps people eat less portions.
But water can get boring. Here are some great ways to make water more enticing so that you drink alot more of it:
- one way is to have some lovely glasses set aside just for your water. Use a pretty wine goblet or something else that makes you feel good.
- flavor with a little squeeze of fresh fruit such as lemon, orange or pineapple
- flavor it with some herbs such as mint, parsley or lemongrass
- crush in a little cucumber for a cool, fresh taste, or some ginger for a warm, spicy flavor
- brew some herbal tea and put a small amount in your iced water
